Yulen Pereira makes a strong start on the road to the Games: bronze at the Cali Grand Prix
The Spaniard climbs to the podium in the first scoring test for the Olympic ranking that grants places for the Paris 2024 Games
Yulen Pereira added her second medal of the year. After the bronze obtained in February in the World Cup in Heidenheim (Germany) of épée, she has now repeated this same metal in the Grand Prix of Cali (Colombia).
The fencer has taken his return to competition very seriously, after passing through the Survivors program, with an eye on the Paris Games. The Olympic ranking started on April 3 and runs until April 1, 2024. This Grand Prix was the first scoring event in the épée modality. In this way, he has achieved 30 points that place him third, tied with the Italian Federico Vismara.
Pereira arrancó en el tablón de 64 con un triunfo ante el japonés Yohito Masuda por 15-9.
