Xavi’s renewal is agreed and closed

Joan Laporta and Xavi Hernández

The transfer market concluded on Friday, but Barcelona still has some open folders related to sports planning that cannot be delayed. One of them is the continuity of Xavi Hernández. The Terrassa coach and Joan Laporta have closed and agreed on their renewal until June 2026. The former culé midfielder concludes his relationship at the end of this season: in June 2024.

Xavi’s continuity is not in dispute. There is no debate. It is an expansion that has the applause of all levels. Everyone in the club is satisfied not only with the work of the Terrassa coach, who has won a League and a Super Cup, but with his involvement and sacrifice. He signed with the culé entity, losing and putting money out of his own pocket, necessary conditions to free himself from Al Sadd and to sign with a Barça in serious financial difficulties.
