Transfer: Man Utd reject Adrien Rabiot’s contract demands

The proposed transfer of Adrien Rabiot to Manchester United has come to a standstill after the Red Devils turned down Adrien Rabiot’s wage demands.
Rabiot had already agreed to a £15 million transfer fee with Juventus, so it had been widely anticipated that he would join Man Utd this summer.
Rabiot’s refusal to accept a pay cut has proven to be a problem for the Old Trafford club, and the club and the midfielder have been unable to come to personal terms to seal the deal.
The mother and agent of the 27-year-old do not understand why her son, and client, should reduce his salary demands, given that he will once again be a free agent next summer.
Due to the absence of a transfer fee, Juventus initially hired Rabiot as a free agent in 2019. As a result, he received a sizable salary of €7 million a year after taxes.
However, despite his underwhelming performances, La Vecchia Signora is eager to offload the French international this summer.
