Transfer: Chelsea keen to seal Wesley Fofana’s deal
Chelsea is getting more and more optimistic that they can work out a deal to bring in Leicester City center-back Wesley Fofana.
The Blues have already signed Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella this summer, but they still want to bring in another central defender. Fofana is currently at the top of their list.
The Foxes would be open to doing business if Chelsea made a bid of about £80 million, according to 90min, even though they have publicly ruled out a sale.
Chelsea’s latest offer was worth £70 million, which Leicester rejected, but sources close to the negotiations have revealed that the Blues are confident that a total agreement is not far away.
Fofana and Chelsea are still in talks, and in addition to the defender, Chelsea is looking to add another right-back to the lineup this year to challenge Reece James.
