The Iberian candidacy meets in Monaco

Pedro Rocha has gotten down to work. The trip to Monaco, in what has been their first international presence, has served to reinforce the Spanish teams, the same ones that were questioned with the letter sent by Andreu Camps questioning their participation in Europe, and to give another step in the race to organize the 2030 World Cup.

The head of the Federation met early Thursday afternoon with Fernando Gomes, president of the Portuguese Federation, and fellow traveler in shaping the World Cup event. The meeting served to know that everything is following its plan, that the two federations continue working for the same objective, which is none other than organizing the World Cup together with Morocco. Rocha’s attempt is none other than to convey naturalness and normality to the outside, continuing with the projects already started, and making it clear that the Federation, regardless of everything that is happening, does not stop and continues producing.

The 2030 World Cup is just over a year away from being designated as a venue and any false move could mean an irreparable step backwards, something that the Iberian candidacy is fighting to avoid.
