Paul Scholes Is Very Angry With Man United Boss Ten Hag (See Why)

Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has slammed manager, Erik ten Hag over some decisions made by the Dutchman during their Europa League victory over Real Sociedad on Thursday.

The Englishman noted that it ‘became a mess’ in the second, slamming Ten Hag’s substitutions and tactics.

Manchester United needed at least 2 goals to climb top of their group and avoid a playoff but the Red Devils could only score just one goal thanks to youngster Gamacho’s first half strike. Ten Hag made some substitutions in the second, with United Scott McTominay replacing Victor Lindelöf and Marcus Rashford coming on for Donny van de Beek.

Scholes felt it turned the team into a mess and he could not understand Ten Hag’s thinking.

“I think it got a bit messy that second half, I’m not too sure what he was trying to achieve,” Scholes told BT Sport.

‘”But in the second half I just thought…after being in complete control, it became a mess [after those substitutions].”
